Religious Education for Adults: Our Sunday morning adult religious education processes will begin the week after Labor Day, on September 12 at 9:30 am. If you have questions about Catholicism or are interested in becoming Catholic, our initiation team will begin our fall sessions in the library building, just behind the Burleigh Center. A fall course on The Christian Experience will take place in the center room of the Burleigh Center. Our scripture study/faith sharing group will meet in the chapel of the Burleigh Center. Newcomers are welcome to all these offerings – you will find fellowship as well as plenty of coffee and Holy Angels cookies!
Thank you to our adult catechists, who make this ministry into such a labor of love:
Adult Christian Initiation: Mike Whitehead, Noreen Dockendorf, Brian Davidson, Vicki Gorham, Bob Haas, Tom Murphy
The Christian Experience: Michelle Brown
Scripture Study: Ajay Jawahar
Sunday Morning Adult Faith Formation: The Christian Experience
Are you curious about how others describe the presence of God in their lives? Are you inspired by other Christian’s accounts of special events that lead them to a deeper faith and inspired them to action? This fall, we will use various mediums to explore the meaning of being a fully engaged Christian, including a guest speaker who worked in Iraq with children of the war, and a film about rebuilding after devastation. Come be inspired to live your Christian call to faith and action.
We will meet in the center room of the Burleigh Center at 9:30 am Sundays beginning September 12. Facilitator: Michelle Brown.
Ongoing Adult Bible Study:
Sundays at 9:30 am in the Burleigh Center Chapel
Wednesdays at 9:30 am, Burleigh Center kitchen. (Resumes September 1)
Religious Education for Children: Our Sunday morning GIFT 2010-2011 religious education program for children begins Sunday, August 29 at 9:30 am . Parents and kids, come to the sanctuary to meet your catechists and to hear about our plans for the upcoming year.
